Mt. Baker Housing Association’s funding comes primarily from income received from the operation of our properties. Early in the organization's history, the Board decided on a sustainable funding model that was not tied to government grants, foundations or individuals. The core program is supported with fees and earned income from operations. Our properties receive governmental support, largely in the form of Section 8 rent subsidies. Grants are used for development activities and for special projects.
